Milo came to the hospital to see her friend, Dave, when he was having a face transplant. He initially asked her and the others to leave the room, not wanting them to see his scarred face, but later let them in and was shocked when they compared his face to orchids, their shared love. After his surgery, they got a sneak preview of his face.

David, Shayna, Milo, and Dexter all met on a message board for orchid lovers. When David was in the hospital for a face transplant, the others came to be with him. He initially refused to see them because he didn't want them to see his face pre-transplant, but he ultimately let them come in and they didn't see him as ugly.
