"She's Killing Me" is the twentieth episode of the ninth season of Grey's Anatomy and the 192nd produced episode of the series. It is also the 303rd produced episode of the Grey's Anatomy franchise. It was broadcast on April 4, 2013.

When Syrian doctors arrive at the hospital for a crash course in surgical skills, the doctors are put to the test when they are forced to find a way to teach the procedures they've perfected without modern technology, electricity or anaesthesia. When Meredith hears unsettling news about her chances of developing Alzheimer's disease, she and Derek try to make precautions if the worst should happen and Meredith turns to Cristina for assistance. Elsewhere, Owen continues to care for the child of two critical patients while Derek deals with Shane and Heather fighting for a place on his service. April struggles with hiding the truth from her boyfriend, especially as he begins to take steps forward in their relationship, and debates whether or not to tell him the truth while a mysterious complication with one of Bailey's patients could have life-changing consequences.

SynopsisEdit

VoiceoverEdit

"Patients say it all the time; "tell me straight up", "I just want to know what's going on", "tell me, I can handle it". We don't dodge your questions because we're mean. We do it because when you say you want the truth you have no idea what you're talking about"
"They say the truth will set you free. What the hell do they know? The truth is horrible, frightening. The truth is more than you can bear. We're supposed to be straight you so be careful what you ask for when you walk into a hospital. Because when you find out what's really going on, you may never recover."
- Meredith Grey
