"With You I'm Born Again" is the first episode of the seventh season of Grey's Anatomy and the 127th produced episode of the series. It is also the 181st produced episode of the Grey's Anatomy franchise. It was broadcast on September 23, 2010.

In the aftermath of the shooting the staff try to deal with the physical and emotional fallout from the day that left them all changed forever. Meredith struggles to get cleared to return to surgery by the hospital's traums counciller as she watches her colleagues return to the E.R while Derek quits his role as Chief and begins living life in the fast lane. Lexie recovers from her nervous breakdown and finds Mark, not Alex, there to support her. Cristina buries herself in planning her wedding to Owen and Bailey returns to Seattle.

"Every cell in the human body regenrates, on average, ever seven years. Like snakes, in our own way, we shed our skin. Biologically we're new people. We may look the same, we probably do. The change isn't visable, atleast not in most of us. But we're all changed. Completley. Forever."
"When we say things like 'people don't change' it drives scientists crazy because change is literally the only constant in science. Energy, matter; it's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. That way we cling to what things were instead of letting them be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believingn despite every scientific indication, that anything in this life is permenant. Change is constant. How we experience change, that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grip and go with it it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment we can be born all over again."
